Know Step-by-Step Online GST Registration Process?
Step 1: Visit the GST Portal
Go to the official GST website:
🔗 https://www.gst.gov.in/
Step 2: Start the Registration Process
1️⃣ Click on "Services" → "Registration" → "New Registration"
2️⃣ Select "Taxpayer" (if registering as a normal business)
3️⃣ Enter details:
- State & District
- Business Name (as per PAN)
- PAN Number
- Mobile Number & Email ID (for OTP verification)
4️⃣ Click Proceed
Step 3: Verify OTP & Generate Temporary Reference Number (TRN)
✅ Enter the OTP sent to your mobile and email
✅ You’ll receive a Temporary Reference Number (TRN) – note it down
Step 4: Fill Out the GST Application Form
1️⃣ Go to "Register" → "Temporary Reference Number (TRN)"
2️⃣ Enter the TRN & OTP to access the form
3️⃣ Complete the form by providing:
- Business Details (Name, Type, Trade Name)
- Business Address Proof
- Bank Details (Upload a canceled cheque/passbook)
- Authorized Signatory Details (For Companies & LLPs)
- Digital Signature (DSC) (For Companies & LLPs)
Step 5: Upload Required Documents
📄 PAN Card (Business/Proprietor)
📄 Aadhaar Card
📄 Address Proof (Electricity Bill, Rent Agreement, etc.)
📄 Bank Proof (Canceled Cheque/Passbook)
📄 Business Registration Proof (Partnership Deed, MOA, AOA, etc.)
Step 6: Submit the Application & Receive ARN
✅ After submitting the application, you will get an Application Reference Number (ARN) via SMS & Email.
✅ The GST officer will verify your application. If additional details are needed, you will get a query within 7 working days.
Step 7: GST Registration Approval & GSTIN
📩 If everything is correct, you will receive the GST Registration Certificate along with your GSTIN (Goods & Services Tax Identification Number) via email.
